From September, the minimum activity threshold for clinical pathway consultations will increase to 20 per month. Pharmacy owners must conduct at least 20 consultations that meet the gateway criteria outlined in the clinical pathways by September 2024 to qualify for the £1,000 monthly payment. NHS England has issued a letter to ICBs which providing guidance for general practices and community pharmacies regarding healthcare plans for the people who are being released early from prison on 10th September and 22nd October. The letter highlights the potential use of Pharmacy First and PCS services to support these individuals and confirms that they will receive 28 days of medication upon discharge. Special arrangements will be in place for OST prescribing for supervised methadone users. |
NHS England is roling out a new clincial system - CLEO SOLO from Cleo systems, which alows community pharmacists in the independent prescriber Pathfinder programme to generate prescriptions via the NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). This is now being implemented at 'pathfinder' sites to support their prescribing models. Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) have been informed and are expected to support and lead their sites throughout the programme. Click here

Pharmacy owners are reminded to update the information contained in their NHS Profile Manager and their DoS profile for before 30th September 2024. Please remember that this is part of Terms of Service and is a mandatory requirement for all pharmacy owners. |
Pharmacy owners are reminded that while the flu vaccination service can now be provided to pregnant women, vaccination of all other eligible adult cohorts for the 2024/25 campaign cannot commence until 3rd October 2024. Palliative care - End of Life Training - 23rd September, 7.30-8.30pmNHS Frimley will be supporting community pharmacies with supporting individuals at the end of their life. The end of Life care training is on 23rd September from 7:30-8:30pm and will be led by Palliative Care Consultant Cate Seaton-Jones from Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
