The South East Commission Hub recently sent an email outlining the necessary steps for pharmacy owners who currently use or have previously used PharmOutcomes. If you have a backlog of notification emails within PharmOutcomes for clinical services provided by your pharmacy please complete this MS form. This applies even if you do not have any post event messages (PEMs) to action. NHS England requests that all pharmacy owners complete these actions by 30th September 2024. NHS England have launched the CPTA programme and will be providing a training contribution of £15,053 per trainee, per year for two years to support Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians (PTPTs) to be employed and complete their full 24-month apprenticeship within a community pharmacy setting. To apply for funding please submit an expression of interest (EoI) via the online application form. The application window will open on Monday 23 September 2024 until Sunday 13 October 2024. A number of webinars will be held to provide more information on the programme including the application and funding process. NHSE have announced the launch of the Newly Qualified Pharmacist pathway for 2024/2025. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between initial education and training reforms and ongoing professional development post-registration. There are four core elements of the pathway: E-Portfolio, Curriculum, Learning resources and Access to supervision, the aim is to help new pharmacists develop the necessary skills and competence. The SCAN guidelines are now available on the new digital platform Eolas, this can be accessed as an app on a phone or tablet device or via a web viewer on a desktop computer or laptop. The re-direct to MicroGuide will take place from Friday, 27th September and the MG content will be switched off on the same date. See here for further guidance. |
Reminder: Pharmacy owners should note that while flu vaccinations for pregnant women can now be administered, vaccinations for other eligible adult groups in the 2024/25 campaign cannot start until 3rd October 2024. This delay applies to both pharmacies and GP practices. See here for further information |
A new feature on MYS allows pharmacy contractors to notify their ICB of temporary closures online. This ensures notifications are sent directly to the relevant ICB and lets contractors view their submissions. Using this feature is optional as you are still able to submit a hard-copy see details on NHS England website titled Annex 18. |
