May 2026 Bank Holiday PostersMay 2026 Bank Holiday Posters detailing which pharmacies will be open across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire can be viewed below: Pharmacy Opening Times Pharmacies are only listed on the posters if they are opening one or more of the Bank Holiday dates. A map of the pharmacies that will be open on the Bank Holidays has been created, anybody can access the map via the link.
End of month submissionWith early May Bank holiday (Monday 4th May) occurring in the first five days of May 2026, pharmacy owners will be afforded an extra day, Wednesday 6th May, to submit their FP34C declaration via the MYS portal. | Thames Valley ICB is offering fully funded Designated Prescribing Practitioners (DPPs) to support community pharmacists completing the 90 hours required for the Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification. The Teach and Treat programme provides, hands‑on training through community pharmacy hub sites, with supervision from trained DPPs and mentors. This update is designed to make it easier for contractors to access essential information quickly. |

The service enables community pharmacies to provide bilingual, translated and pictogram-enhanced medicine labels which can support patients who may benefit from the adjustments. | NHS England has launched the Community Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Programme 2026, offering a two‑year training route for Pre‑registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians in community pharmacy. Employers can access £15,505 per trainee, per year to support, work‑based training. Applications open 27 April 2026, and close midday on 18 May 2026.
