| Thames Valley ICB is offering pharmacies within East Berkshire the opportunity to incorporate the Written Medicine Service to the customers. The service enables community pharmacies to provide bilingual, translated and pictogram-enhanced medicine labels which can support patients who may benefit from the adjustments. | Income Support and Income‑based Jobseeker’s Allowance will end on 1 April 2026, with exemption from prescription charges allowed only until 14 April 2026. After this date, these benefits will no longer qualify for free NHS prescriptions. Income‑related Employment and Support Allowance is not affected and remains a valid exemption. Read more. |

| NHS England has launched the Community Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Programme 2026, offering a two‑year training route for Pre‑registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians in community pharmacy. Employers can access £15,505 per trainee, per year to support, work‑based training. Applications open 27 April 2026, and close midday on 18 May 2026. | NHS England is promoting upcoming Creating Coaching Champions online workshops, open to all multi‑professional healthcare colleagues. Each interactive session focuses on coaching‑led approaches, collaborative problem‑solving and shared learning. Workshops run 10:00–3pm on Microsoft Teams and attendees only need to join one date. | Fully funded Independent Prescribing training is now open to pharmacists across all sectors, with courses available until March 2027. Eligible applicants can apply directly to the universities listed on the NHS England website and must have a designated prescribing practitioner and a suitable practice‑based learning environment.
