On Friday, 7th February, Yuan Yang MP visited Asda Pharmacy in the constituency of Earley and Woodley to better understand the pressures facing local pharmacies. She was joined by Yasser Abboud, David Dean, Chief Officer, and Kevin Barnes, Contractor Support Officer. The visit to aimed to highlight the services provided to the local community and the vital role that pharmacies and their dedicated staff. Well done and thank you to the Asda Pharmacy team! |

Greg Smith MP Visits Wendover Pharmacy in AylesburyGreg Smith MP visited Wendover Pharmacy and met with pharmacy owner, Mohammad Tahir, David Dean (Chief Officer of Thames Valley Pharmacy), and Kevin Barnes (Contractor Services Officer). During the visit, he gained valuable insights and took the opportunity to understand the critical issues facing local pharmacies in the constituency of Mid Buckinghamshire. The visit highlighted the dedication and essential contributions of Wendover Pharmacy staff to the community. We extend our thanks to Mohammad and his team for hosting this important visit. |

The local Minor Ailment Scheme for pharmacies targets low-income patients and their dependents, providing a concise list of OTC medicines in the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West (BOB) ICB area. It offers payment in addition to the referral fee or can be used for eligible walk-in patients. Claims are processed through PharmOutcomes. See here for further information and service specification. Pharmacies in the BOB ICB area can sign up to register. Please note, this service is not available to East Berkshire pharmacies (RBWM, Slough, Bracknell), as they fall under the Frimley ICB. |

The NHS App team seeks your assistance in identifying community pharmacies to measure baseline benefits for prescription tracking and gather feedback on future NHS App roadmap items. They are particularly interested in a diverse range of pharmacies to help measure baseline benefits for prescription tracking and provide their views on upcoming NHS App features aimed at enhancing the medicines ordering journey, such as surfacing medicine review dates to facilitate proactive appointment booking. From the 1st of April 2025 Dals will provide a new, unified interpretation service across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West. All previous interpretation services operating across BOB will cease on the 31st of March 2025. See here for more details and user training sessions. |

The attached document summarises actions to be taken by clinicians as detailed in the NatPSAs and provides information on the local arrangement in place for community pharmacies to obtain alternative imported stock. |

Community Pharmacy England has published new guidance to help community pharmacy owners complete the Data Security and Protection Toolkit 2025. The Toolkit is used to make a pharmacy’s information governance (IG) declaration and must be completed by 30th June 2025.
